Prince Alexis Mdivnni, whom his American wife, a millionairess, divorced at Reno in March, met his death in a motor-car near Gerona- while.,a woman friend was seriously injured. The Prince was taking h<fr to Perpignan to catch a Paris train, when his ear ran into a ditch and overturned. In March last, his wife then decided after two years of matrimony to seek a Reno divorce. She • then stayed in luxurious seclusion in a Dorchester hotel, refusing to sec visitors. She issued a typewritten statement to liie press, in which she declared: “Alex and I agree that we are unsuited, though we will always be the greatest friends.” Prince Mdivani. who signed away his rights to her millions, staying in Catalonia.
