FEARFUL DISASTER THOUSANDS OF LIVES LOST. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this day at 16.30 a.m.) SHANGHAI; .July 11. Three thousand were killed in bed, when the flood waters overwhelmed the walled city of Yengtze. Houses collapsed like sand castles. Neighbouring villages were submerged. Hundreds of corpses are floating, down the river. Fanoheng is partially submerged and thousands are homeless.
A third major flood disaster is feared in North China, where the Yungting river is rising alarmingly.
