SUMMER TIME
SIDEY MEDAL AND PRIZE
WELLINGTON, July 10. 'file Royal Society of New Zealand announced to-day that the second award of the T. K. Sidey Summer Time Medal and Prize will be made at the annual meeting of the society in -May, 1936. The prize is of £IOO, and the award of the medal and prize is for the most valuable contribution by research in the study of light, visible and invisable, and other solar radiations affecting human welfare. Applications will close on February 29, and these, specially prepared for the award, or copies of published works, may be submitted. The first award was made to Lord Rutherford, of Nelson, director of the Cavendish Laboratory in the Universtiy of Cambridge, in 1933.
