FAR TOO HIGH
N.Z. TAXATION AND LAND COSTS WELLINGTON, July 10. • Dr C. A. Hebcr, of Uruguay, interviewed, said: “The cost of laird and taxation in New Zealand are far too high. I think the prices of land here are about four to seven times what they are in Uruguay. I think this is the most striking difference . between . conditions in New Zealand and Uruguay. Unless there is a change in this state of affairs, I caunot see that New Zealand can become a beef cattle country. The quality of beef cattle I have seen in this country is far below the standard of that produced in UruguayAdvt.
