DECISION LIKELY
PROTRACTED MEAT DISCUSSIONS (Per Presa Association, Copyright;. WELLINGTON, July 10. Cabinet Ministers in Wellington ap- , pear to be confident of a final decision in the very near future, regarding the protracted discussions there have been in London about meat problems. An important cablegram was received to-day from. the Minister of Finance (the Hon. J. G. Coates), who communicated the main terms of an amended draft agreement. A meeting oi the Cabinet was held late this afternoon, mainly for the purpose of giving l full Ministerial consideration to the vital details of this proposed final agreement for a definite period. At the close of the meeting, the acting-Prime Minister \*Sir Alexander Ransom) said that, as the cabled message was a confidential one, it was impossible to disclose the important details. He said that after a fairly long discussion, Cabinet had decided to have the question further considered the following forenoon at a conference of Ministers, members of the executive Commission of Agriculture and the Meat Board.
