COURT DISMISSES CLAIM
(Per Press Association, Copyright). INY EH CAP GILO, July I °- Arising out of the publishted report of hjs presidential address at the annual meeting of the Southland Building Society. Albert Samuel Froggatt was proceeded against in the Magistrate’s Court to-day, before Mr \Y. H. Freeman, S.M-, by Frank Holloway, ol Invercargill, dealer, on a claim lor £SO damages for alleged libel. Plaintiff alleged that a reference made in the address to a “rag and bottle collector” meant him, and that it was defamatory. Holding that the words complained of were not capable of the defamatory meaning alleged, the Magistrate gave judgment for the defendant. Security for appeal was fixed at tin iOs. *
