SEARCH FOR THE LUSITANIA NEW METAL DIVING SUIT. LONDON, July 9. Ah expedition is to set out this mouth from the Clyde in an endeavour to locate the sunken Lusitania. The expedition is being organised by the Argonaut Corporation, Limited, London. The object in view is to recover, if possible, certain documents and valuables locked in the strongroom. The steamer Ophir, will be employed, and has already been fitted out by Messrs. William Beardmore and Compnay, Dalmuir. The metal diving suit to be worn by the diver has been tested in Lcoh Ness, and it was found that at a depth of 450 ft. a diver had the same freedom of movement as was possible only a few feet down. It is thought that the Lusitania lies at a depth of 280 ft. She was sunk by a German submarine off the Irish Coast 20 years ago.
