MAORI TEAM
REEDY ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL TEAM FOR TO-DAY’S MATCH (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 1.25 p.m.) BRISBANE, July 10. Contracting a slight chill on the train journey from Sydney, J. Reedy, the Maoris’ star five-eighths, developed a temperature at Warwick, and last night was sent to hospital. It is nothing serious, but an influenza epidemic is raging here, and the managers sought only to avoid risk of an outbreak in the team. Reedy will probably be able to travel to Brisbane with the team on Thursday. The team for to-day’s match is:— Full-back, Nepia; three-quarters,’ McDonald, 'Smith and Hemi; five-eighths, Harrison and Chase; half-back, Mel--1 ish; forwards, Rogers, Mataira, Cooper. Kawe, Harrison, Kershaw, Whiu and Reed.
Rain is still falling and the ground is heavy.
