ESTIMATES FOR YEAR. LEVY ON LOCAL BODIES. At the meeting of the Westland Hospital on Monday evening, the .estimates for the year were approved } and were ordered to he sent on to the several local bodies for their information. . It was reported that the Government subsidy on maintenanre this year was 26/in the £, as against 24/4 last year. The estimated expenditure for the year, shows a substantial increase on that of last year and the levy on the local bodies shows a correspondingly largo increase. ... The estimated expenditure on tenancy is £11,307 (last year being ’ £9,257). * Tlie. estimated capital expenditure is £1950 (last year being £821). Levy on Local Bodies. The levy being made on the several local bodies for 1935-36 is as follows: Westland County, £2342 (1933-34, £I6OB, 1934-35, £1557). Hokitika Borough. £1125 (1933-34 £765, 1934-35 £745).
