BENEFIT PLAY
FOP COMPETITIONS SOCIETY BY GIVEY PLAYLOVERS’ CLUB Patrons a- the Princess Theatre last evening were well entertained by the very successful presentation by the Greymouth Playlovers’ Club, of P. O. Wodehouse’s comedy, “Good Morning, Bill.” There was a good house, mud the play, which was produced under the able direction of Mrs Dickson, in aid of the funds of the Westland Competitions Society, was really appreciated.
Wode’ionse’s humour proved infectious and the scenes end situations were ably portrayed by the cast consisting of Miss P. Knight, Miss T. MoDougaß end Aliss D. Donovan, Messrs IV. and P. McGrath, N. Bavley and J. McDonald.
Bright music was played bv the Victorian Dance Band under the leadership of Miss D .Robinson. At the conclusion of the. play the performers were entertained at supper by the committee of the Competitions Sochlty.' Mr F. McCabe, the president, expressed the thanks of the committee to Mrs Dickson and her party of players for their visit to Hokitika, and congratulated them upon their excellent performance which lmd shown talent of no mean order, and he hoped this would he the fore-runner of other visits which would he eagerly looked forward to. Mr McCabe also thanked Miss Robinson and her orchestra for the musical programme they ■had rendered.
