New licenses and renewals for radio receiving sets taken out in New Zealand in May totalled 14,041, as against a total of 11,448 in the corresponding month last year. The figures at May 31 this year were 157,508, compared with 120,803 at the corresponding date in 1031. The grand total of licenses on May 31 was 150 672, as against 122,838 a year previously.
