Connelly, Harihaj-i, notifying that he was at present camped at the junction of the Lambert and Wanganui Rivers and stating that the locality was a very likely quartz area, about 80,000 acres being available for prospecting ; also requesting .special assistance and for assistance towards buying a horse for packing supplies.—Received and assistance recommended. From G. Hunt, enquiring regarding arrangements for transporting men frm Kumnra to Donegal Creek, stating that so far men had been carried hv horse 'and cart. —Received and weekly grant recommended.
