LONDON, May 31

j n the presence of five thousand spectators, including his young wife, a parachutist, Ivor Price, aged 2/, attached to Sir Alan Cobham’s air display, crashed to death at Wocdlord aerodrome. Jt was arranged that Price and Naomi Eeron Maxwell, a young society girl, should jump simultaneously from separate planes. Price and Naomi climbed the wings and jumped. J hen the horrified crowds saw Price mainly tugging to release the cord. Naomi Maxwell landed safely. She had seen the tragedy oil route, and she ran to the body of Price as she landed. The announcer megaphoned the crowd to stand still. Not a single person moved till the body was removed. Price had helped Miss Naomi Maxwell to make her first public descent in April.
