CURIOUS CHASE
SUIT BROUGHT AGAINST BOXER.

The trustee of a discharged bankrupt named Patrick Sheehan, successfully sued the heavyweight boxer, .Tack Doyle, for indemnification against legal expenses. Sheehan incurred the expenses m JDoylefs (litigation with tlhe Boxing Board of Control regarding the DoylejPetersen contest in July, 1933. Doyle wag a minor when the contest was decided and sued the board, through Sheehan, as his next friend. The. Court of Appeal gave a verdict for the board with costs against Sheehan, who thereby became liable for £ll6B 7s 2tl, with interest. Sheehan, a restaurant doorkeeper, receiving £1 a week, could not pay, and became bandrupt. The trustee was awarded £1172 10s.
