OBITUARY

AUCKLAND, May 29
The Rev. S. A. Goldstein, formerly for 54 years Rabbi of the Auckland Hebrew congregation, died to-night in his 82nd year. His passing followed closely upon that of Mrs Goldstein, "hose death took place a few weeks ago. His successor is the Rev. A. Aston who far three years was assistant rabbi. Air Goldstein leaves one son, Dr Herbert Goldstein. Another son. Dr Henry Goldstein, did in England soon after taking his medical degree.
