ROME, December 8,
An Anglo-Italian agreement has toee.u re vheel', enabling .the Imperial Airways Company to use Italian territory for its craft. The agreement advises the British Government to us-3 Italian territory for alternate routes, irither from Marseilles to Rome, or the Marseillcs-Naples-Athens /• ute. Jt i s expected that a service will comment,: in the spring, but there -arc n few difficulties w-.th (he French Government regarding flying across France, which must be cleared up.
Thy new air agreement grants to Italy important rights in return tother concessions to Britain. Italy is permitted to institute a Roine-Lomlon air service next spring.
Italy iis also permitted to land her machines at various points in 111- 1 British Dominions, including Gibradnv and .Malta, to which no British air .services operate at present.
