U.S. DRUG RAID
OVER 400 ARRESTS OF AGENTS

NEW YORK, December 8.
In a series of. carefully-timed raids to-day, hundreds of Federal operatives iii the major cite s of the United States, right from Boston to San Francisco, moved against the distribution, of narcotics. It is announced that they made 467 arrests, and that they have confiscated a large amount of dope. It is said that this campaign will be vigorously pressed against the drug addicts as well a.s against the smugglers and peddlers.
STAGGERING BLOW STRUCK.

The Government agents struck a staggering blow at the narcotic “ripgs” on Saturday in a series of raids that stretched across the nation. Move than four hundred persons, addicts, peddlers, and members of a gigantic: syndicates, were seized, and thousands of dollars ■worth of illicit drugs recovered.
