CHANGES AND PROMOTIONS:. (Per Press Association, Copyright). WELLINGTON, July T The Commissioner of police,' Mr W. G. Wohlmann, announces the following changes ill the police force ; Sub-Inspector. H. Martin, of Central Police Station, Wellington, has been promoted to the rank of Inspector in charge.of -the Ois'borne district.: He will take up his new position within n fortnight, 1 ’ Senior-Sergeant C. E. 'Roach, of Mount Cook Station, Wellington, has been promoted to the • a’&nk of SubInspector, and ’will replace Inspector Martin, at the Central Station 1 ; - ’ Inspector L. E. O’Halloran, of Gisborne, has been transferred to take charge of the Timaru district, to replace Superintendent Bird wlio shortly retires on superannuation. Sub-Inspector G. B. Edwards, of Auckland, has been promoted to ’the rank, of Inspector A,'and 'will remain in Auckland for:the time being. 'A Chief-Detective' ,;Jd 'Carroll has been promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspec-tor, And will iremaih in charge of the Detective Office at' -Wellington. Constable L. Rose, of Wellington Central Police Stat’Up, hag b e en transferred to Te Kuiti.
