MONTHLY MEETING HELD. The Hokitika Harbour Board met last evening at 7.30 o’clock when there were present, Messrs E. W. Her nan (cha'rman), W. E. Richards,'..N. Warren, D. P. Stuart, and M. H. From T.iun Clerk, Hokitika, notifying names of unemployed men for work.—Received. From Hokitika Town Clerk, in reference to accident io an unemployed man injured on wharf and asking for particulars of earning^.—Received. From Signalman reporting tlie channel was good running in a northwest with a depth of 11 to 12

feet, with a good wide channel.—Received.

The chairman reported m connectlighting arrangements on (the wharf which had * been made since, last meeting. • Accounts amounting to. ' £522/19/0 were passed for payment.

Tiioc hair man reported in cormaction with the wharf repairs, whic h would be completed as soon as the clocking was received from the mill. The.wharf in front of the shod required early attention, and tin's would..hate t<> be repaired as soon as possible.

In connection with tlie failure to remove' benzine shipments promptly from the wharf, the chairman and score I ary reported .action taken, which was approved.
