TRADE DISCUSSION
-MEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA. (Per Pre s s Association, Copyright). WELLINGTON, February 9. The Hon. Stewart, Minister of Commerce in Australia, left on return t<* the Commonwealth to-day. In a joint statement, 'the HNns. J. G, Coates and R. Masters say that various subjects of interest were closely investigated, and details were discussed. It is not yet possible, however, to arrive at a final agreement, and it will be necessary to continue the discussions at a later date. With this object in view, Mr Stewart has, at the request of the Prime Minister of Australia, Mr J. A. Lyons, invited the New Zealand Government to send a Ministerial delegation to Australia at a date to be arranged.
