TAUMARUNUI, November 30.

A Ideal high school boy, Norman Morris, aged 16 years, son of Robert Morris; farmer, of Piriaka, got into trouble while bathing in a pool in the Wanganui River at 1.30 p.m., to-day. His companion, Roy Wackrow, and a young man, W. Wbodmass, made a determined effort to save him, but lie grabbed them and they were compelled to free themselves. ■ He then sank in nine feet of water. Woodmass and a high school teacher, E. St. John, who was called to the scene, dived and brought the body ashore. Artifical respiration was tried, under medical supervision for over half an hour, hut was unavailing.
