DIVORCE BILL
A NEW BRITISH MEASURE. (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, November 29. Twenty-one years after the .sittings of the Royal Commission on Divorce, a private members 1 Dili is being. , int-to-. ducecl in the House of Commons sponsored by 'Messrs -HclSordf, Knight, Withers, Slater, Goodman, and Miss Ratlibone and others oil the lines of the Commission’s majority report. The Bill would permit divorce for either party on any of the following grounds: Adultery, desertion for three years; cruelty; a certified lunatic for five years; or an incurable drunkard; at least three years’ separation, or the undergoing of imprisonment under a commuted death sentence. The Court also would be empowered to presume death after seven years’ absence.
