WELLINGTON v. COUNTRY TEAM

WELLINGTON, November 29
Playing the country team to-day 'Wellington • town team scored 194 in the - first innings. There was a miserable batting performance ,by the country players, who were all dismissed for 101. Some of them threw their wickets away in trying to lift accurate -balls over the fence or attempting impossible runs. The Town commenced their second innings with 20 minutes to play - and at stumps were one down for 38. With the exception of Dustin (69) and one or two others, the batting wag weak and disappointing. Throughout- th-e day the attend-
ance was poor averaging between 100
and 150.
HOKITIKA JUNIOR TEAMS
Th, e< Hokitika A team plays the B team at the Mental Hospital next week-end. The teams are as follow:
A team—Jolley 2, Olsen 2, Hughes 2, Stapleton, Toohey,' Mitchell, Barnhill, Diedrichs, Cooper and P. Muir.
B team—Schroder, Sherman, Stevenson, Collett, Breeze, Davidson, Roberts, Banrahan, Pedder, Johnston, Hur-ren, Coles and Leslie.
