A sitting -of the N-o. -.7 Transport Licensing Authority was ’• held at Greymouth yesterday morning,*> Dr A. S. Gibbs (chairman.), Messr 6 J.' W, Hannan and W. H. Churchward being present.

The secretary (Mir ,H. M. O’Donnell), said that the sitting was for the purpose of considering passenger licenses, mostly renewals ; also good s license renewals. Mr E. S. Brittenden, Ditrict Traffic Manager, represented the Railway Department. The following applications were dealt with : Walter James Inglis, additional vehicle t° handle additional business between Wainihinihi and Kumari. — Approved. Newman Bros., Ltd., renewal of passenger license from Inangahua Junction to Reef ton, to be reduced from four vehicles to two.—Approved, and service to be known as the ReeftonInangahua, Motor Service. Newman Bros., Ltd-, renewal passenger service license Westport to Gf’tymoutib—Approved. Gibbs Motors, Lfd., renewal passenger license, Weetpbrt to Greymouth.— Approved. Newman Bros. Ltd., renewal of pasgenger license Hokitika to Weheka.— Approved. West Coast Motors, Ltd., renewal passenger service license Hokitika- t° Waiho.—-Approved. Newman Bros. ltd., passenger service license from Hokitika to (Rimu. — Approved. t H. Olsen, passenger service license ■from Rimu to Hokitika (in place of license at present held by M. Punakaiki, Mouatt’s application, ior Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with the addition of a Wednesday run from December 1 to February 28, was approved. Eyall’s application for Tuesdays, Fridays and 'Saturdays, was approved. Kennedy Bros., Ltd. /renewal of passenger license, Greymouth to Paroa (once, weekly) ’ and Karoro.—Approved. Herbert McGlashan, renewal ’of passenger license, Greymouth to Blackball- Mr T. F, Brosnan represented applicant. -Am obiection was lodged by the Bailway Department.—The application was approved.; Loui s Sydney 'Higgins, goods service license, from Koiterangi Valley sawmill to Hokitika.—Approved. Herbert McGlashan, renewal of passenger service, Greymouth to Cobden mid Greymouth to Blaketown.—Approved.

The application was. objected to by the Railway Department.—All of the routes, with minor deviations, excepting that of Gi’eymouth to Westport, in which decision was reserved, were approved.
