The French sporting press lauds the wearing, by “Bunny” Austin, the English tennis star, of shorts on the courts, and urges all men players to follow Austin’s lead.
At present, the papers say, shirts and trousers, especially in strenuous games, tend to become “divorced,” and present a most untidy appearance, as well as being annoying to the play-
The solution, it is said lies in a loose shirt attached to shorts, like women’s one-piece costumes.
