CHRISTCHURCH, May 23.

A vigorous denunciation ot the Cluistchurch Citizens’ Association, and a dial lenge to the chairman of the Association, who issued his allegations in a form so that they could bo tested in the Supreme Court 011 a writ of libel, were made by the Deputy-Mayor, the Rev. J. K. Archer at the City Council meeting last evening during a lively discussion.
