MANY FUNCTIONS

ENTERTAINMENT OF DELEGATES

RUGBY,. May 20.

According to the preliminary list oi arrangements connected with the enterta.'nment of delegates attending the World Conference, the King open s the conference on the afternoon o.f June 12. The British .Government enterthe delegates at dinner at Groisvenor "House on that evening, when about 600 will be present. The King will give .an afternoon party on June 17 -for the .Conference at Windsor Castle. .

•Mr J. H. Thomas will preside at a Government luncheon on June 19 for the Dominion delegates. The city of London will offer extensive hospitality to the visitors, acid eleven of the City llivery Companies will join in entertaining the delegates at dinner on June 20. This will be followed by a reception by 'Lord and Lady Londonderry at Londonderry House, -Park Lane.

Lloyds will hold a. reception on June 22, and the Lord Mayor, sheriffs and 'Corporation of London will give a banquet at the Guild Hall on June 26. There will be an evening party at Admiralty House, given by Sir Eyres Monsell, on June 28. The Speaker of The House of Commons will hold a reception on June 30, and .a garden party will be given at 'Clivedon by Lord and Lady Aster on July 1. Apart from these and other special gatherings, facilities will be offered the delegates to attend such such events as an Air Force disp/ay ■— Hendon on June 24.
