Prices tended to be lower at today’s Addington salt'. The store sheep entry was of poor quality and prices were easier. Owing to a shortage of feed farmers are killing heavily. Competition was forthcoming on good lots only.

Jii store lambs there was a heavier yarding, the quality being only medium. Prices were easier owing to lack of feed. .The fat sheep entry was 1,?(){), the majority being fat ewes. .Prices were practically unchanged, except mi quality lots. The fat Jamb entry was 15,210. The quality was mixed, a big percentage being unfinished. Prime heavy sorts sold at Ills to 14s (id, prime medium 10s (id to 1.2 s Gd, light and plain. 8s (id to 10s.

The fat 'cattle, entry totalled .‘442, ling:, quality being very poor, and the sale was dull. Prices, were easier. Extra heavy steers sold to £8 17s fid, heavy £5 2s Gd to £G 7 S Gd, prime L‘3 ids- to £4 Ids, light £- 12s fid to £d 2s fid; heifers to. £5 12s fid, prime £1 to £4 21s fid, medium £G 2s fid to_ £G 12s fid, light £2. The pork entry was small, and prices were easier. There was a heavy entry of bacon. The North Island has ceased operations, and there was a general decline in prices. Hates were: Pork 22s to 28s, heavy 27s fid; to 32s (id ; choppers 22s to £3 18s fid ; bacon 3fis fid.to 42s fid, heavy 4% 4° 80s fid, extra to £3 Os fid.
