KAISER’S ACTION
SECRECY OBSERVED AT DOORN.
LONDON, December 23. The special correspondent of the “Daily Mail” at Doom sa'ys that, since the discovery of an armed truder in Doom Casfle, where the exKaiser Las $ been living since lie abdicated the German throne, tlie greatest precautions are being taken to prevent the outside world from knowing what is happening inside the castle. All servants and officials are bound by oath not to reveal the smallest detail of what goe s on and the slightest slip or indiscretion is punished by instant dismissal. ■
Chauffeurs sent to the railway station to meet Wilhelm’s guests haVe no .. idea who it is that is arriving, and visitors arc frequently so muffled that they cannot be recognised. Nobody, the correspondent, adds, feels sure of the reason for this extraordinary secrecy, but it is suggested that it is caused either by fear of some untoward happening, or is a precaution preliminary to a great change. • • ' • ..<vhf
