Wellington Aero Club is-sponsor-ing a scheme in connection with the trans-Tasman flight of Sir Charles Ivingsford Smith to raise money for charities by the sale of tickets to calculate. the aclual flying time of the Smithoni Cross. Tiie person who calculates nearest the actual Hying time will l>e entitled, if a resident of "Wellington to a Light from Rongotai to Hlcnheim and return for himself and a party of ten. In the event of two or more, not exceeding ten, estimating tile correct time, the seats tv ill he divided amongst them. Should more than ten calculate correctly the. time for the flight, the first ten guesses opened will be awarded the flight. If the winner resides in any other part of Now Zeal.'nd h e will be entitled to the use of tha ’plane for ,a crosscountry flight of an hour’s duration. 1 The 'Canterbury 'Aero Club has taken th. e matter in hand and will assist m the sale of ticket*. ■Mr IV. -Kingshord Smith has made th e offer of the. -flight on behalf of his brother.-
