AUSTRALIAN MONEY
TO UM3TS’ REQUIREMENTS,
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 1
It is learned that literal interpretation of Australia’s regulations in regard to exportation of funds is liable to lead to a curtailment of tourists’ expenditure. On previous visits of cruising ships difficulty has been experienced in obtaining Australian currency iu exchange for American dollars. It is indicated that the American Express Company will require Australian money to the extent of 5000 dollars at Auckland to meet the-demands of passengers by ’the Lurline, due to arrive' at Sydney on Sunday, February 19.
