CROFT DEFEATS McEWAN

INVERCARGILL, December 4
In a professional boxing contest here last night, Tom Croft (West Coast) knocked out George McEiwan, the middleweight champion of New Zealand (Invercargill) in the tenth round of a scheduled fifteen rounds bout. Both boys weighed in at list Gibs. Crcft won every round, but was repeatedly warned for low punching. The bout was not for the title.
