PROLIFIC EWE DIES
24 LAMBS IN SEVEN YEARS. The death has occurred of “Betty,” the 9-year-old pet eiwe of Master Tummy Spittles, the son of Mi H. Spittles, -a fairnne-r of Meadle, near Princiess Risborough, says the “Live Stock Journal.” “Betty” died in giving birth to seven lambs, which lpings her total tin to 24 in -seven years. Betty, , who w.;.:s bymight up on a feeding ‘bottle, gave birth to triplets when she was two ’'ears old, and altogether she had! triplets five times and twins Once. By reason of her pm i c breeding “Betty” was the originator of Mr Spittles’ whole flock, and ris several of her limin'-s have had triplets and tail’s, the flock now numbers between 50 and 60.
