BOY SCALDED
ACCIDENT IN ROTORUA POOL. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) ROTORUA, October 14. As the result of severe scalds suffered by falling into a. hot pool at YVhaknrewarewa this afternoon a four-year-old Maori dhild, Alec Eparaina was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition. The boy who was one of a party of children plttying on a track in the vicinity of the spout bath, apparently ran off to hide from his companions and stumbled into the water. His screams attracted attention and brought his aunt from a nearby house, and with the assistance of several helpers she succeeded in dragging the child from the pool, hut by this time he was Severely scalded and was reported to be in a. dangerous condition wjien admitted to the hospital.
