assistance for farmers. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) WAIROA, October 14. The monthly meeting cf the Wairoa branch of the Farmers’ Union passed the following resoluton unanimously: “That- this branch of tlio New Zealand Fanners’ Union desire to impress on the attention of the Government, that unless the national -appeal is taken up more seriously than it is at present it will he absolutely necessary for the Government to substantially assist the farmers in the stricken area of Wairoa, to rehabilitate this devastated district.” It was also decided that a copy of the resolution he forwarded to the Dominion Executive soliciting its support.
