PASSES AT 93 YEARS

GISBORNE, October 14
Having lived in the Dominion for ninety-two years Mrs Elizabeth Neal, widow of Captain William Neal, for a long time master of the Union Company’s tender -Snark, died last night at the age of 93 years. She was born in Edinburgh Castle, her father having been in the Black Watch. She landed in New Zealand an infant in arms and spent most of her childhood years in Wellington, and later at Manawatu and 1 Hawke’s Bay. She experienced early pioneering trials and had been. a resident of Gisborne for 46 years.
