Personal—The Westland Land Board at its '.meeting yesterday derided to place qn,record its appreciation of the work done by Mr E. M. Wilmott, chief draughtsman who is shortly leaving Hokitika. • Football.—The,selectors of the southern junior representative team .met, on Saturday and picked the followipg team to play the northern juniors at Greymouth on Saturday/ next:— George, Bonar (2), J. Clarke, Currie, I. Tianui, -I. Smith, W. Clarke, Renton, C. Smith, Keogan, Dimmi-k, Bennett, Breeze and Burrowes. Emergencies, Roberts, Cooper and G. Tainui. ,

; Kokatahi.—The’annual hospital ball ;t6ok place on Friday evening in the public hall and passed off very-success-fully, there .being a large attendance. Excellent music was provided by Mr fand Mrs Kelly and Mr Gibbons, a.sisted byf Messrs Heppel and Bremmond. Mr J. J. Breeze, junr., was ,m.c. . \

Tramway.—The Hokitika and Kahieri Tramway advise a change of timetable, the fares being sixpence each Way- ' Special carriages leave Kanieri * at'6.3o p.m. and ‘Hokitika at 9.30 p.m. on Saturdays.
