Tile Secretory) Mr W» NcNamai'as of Um P, and T, Department, has received tin; following from the Apia radio station: “The auxiliary yacht Southern Pearl, presumed to be on a passage from Panama, to Apia, is several months overdue. Any vessel or station having information of her whereabouts, please communicate with Apia Radio.”
CHEAPER PETROL,
WELLINGTON, February 17
Referring to the reduction as from to-morrow of a penny a gallon in the wholesale price of petrol, first and second grade, Mr F. Ross (Secretary of the ’Wellington Motor Traders’ Association) said to-night that the question of the reduction had not been considered by the retailers, but it would be in the course of a day or two.
