AERO BOMBING
TRIALS IN NORTH SEA. [United Press Association.—By EJectne Telegraph.—Copyright. 1 (Received this day at 3.0.15 a.in.) LONDON, June 14. Tests in which squadrons of bombing aeroplanes will endeavour to sink heavily armed, the wirelessly controlled prewar battleship Centurian shortly, will be carried out in the North Sea. It is hoped to obtain valuable information on the effectiveness of air • attacks. Should the bombers fail to sink the Centurian, aircraft carrying torpedoes weighing a ton, will swoop down and launch their missiles under the steamline.
