FRIDAY, MAY 2. The Council met at 7.30 p.m. Present Messrs G. A. Perry (Mayor), T. AV. Duff, E. AV. Jloemui, A. R. Elcock. A. C. Armstrong, J. King, G. Heinz, and D. J. Evans. From Borough Returning Officer notifying election of Mayor (G. A. Perry) and nine councillors' no election being necessary.—Received. From Messrs Arthur and Huia Appleton, asking whether Council could grant better lease for part of Cricket Reserve 446 Block 40, Hokitika. Received. The Mayor moved that application be made to have the purpose of the Reserve changed to a Municipal Reserve. Seconded by Mr Heenon and
