N.S.AV. ABOLITION PROPOSAL. (Australian Press Association.) •SYDNEY, May 1. The Attorney General, Hon. Air Lysaght, in the N.S.W. Assembly, introduced a bill to make certain law reforms. His bill, inter alia, provides for the abolition of capital punishment. RESTORED IN GERMANY.
DUE TO INCREASE OF MURDERS. BERLIN. A lay 1. Despite there having been a temporary abeyance of the death penalty, the authorities have refused to reprieve Tevzner. whose conviction for murder was cabled on Alarch 19. This will br> the first execution in Germany for three years. It is stated that the authorities are alarmed at the large number of brutal murders. In view of this precedent, It is eoi'isjdered certain that Kuerten will lie scut to the guillotine.
