J LONDON, August 12. „The “Daily Mail” states that if the present experiments aro successful, the giant Cumml liner which is being built, will consist of three sections, each of which can move independently, in order that in rough weather ,t!ie bows and the stern can rise on the crest of the rollers while the midships sags into the trough of I lie waves, thus minimising the danger of the liner breaking her back in heavy seas. the paper states that provision will he made for the carrying of quick-fir-ing guns. The hull is being built on the lines of a warship, with watertight compartments, ats n protection against, the elfeots of gun attacks.
