The death took place this morning at her residence, Park St., of Mrs Margaret Keane, relict of the late John Keane. A native of Galway, Ireland and aged 82 years, deceased had lived G 3 years in New Zealand. Deceased was for some time in failing health, and her end came at 7 o’clock this morning. She leaves four daughters (Mrs Linstrom, of Blenheim, Mrs Wright of Pukekura, Mrs Black and Miss Keane, of Hokitika!, and two sons (George and Thomas of Gisborne). To the relatives the sympathy of the community will be extended in the sad loss they have sustained. The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock. leaving St. Mary’s Church, where Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m.
