ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, June 5. To-day’s Addington live stock sale was well attended.

Beef.—There were 450 head yarded, the quality being mixed. Prime sorts were brighter. Steers sold: Heavy £l7' 10s and £2O 17s 6d, prime £l4 10s to £IG 10s, medium £ll to £l3, plain £7 10s to £9 ss; cows and heifers, extra to £l7 2s Gel, heavy £ls 7s Gel, prime £9 to £l2 10s, medium £8 to £8 15s, plain £5 to £7 10s.

Mutton.—There were 4800 sheep yarded, mostly,, ewes. Prices opened at last week’s rates, but eased as the sale progressed. Wethers sold: Best to 37s lOd, extra good 3ls to 34s 6d, good 27s to 30s. metlium 23s to 265, light 20s to 225; owes, extra to 265, good 19s to 225, medium 15s to 18s, light 11s to 14s 4d. Fat lambs.—A good yarding found competition keen, with an advance of Is to Is 6d on last week. Extra sold to 30s, prime to 28s 6d, good 25s to 275, medium 21s 6d to 24s 6d, light 12s lOd to 19s 6d. Store lambs.—There wore 800 yarded. The attendance was small. Prices were slightly easier. Best ewes sold 15s to 18s 9d, good lambs 8s to 10s 6d, plain and small 3s to 7s 6d. Adult store sheep.—There were 1900 yarded. With a small attendance of buyers sales were hard to make. Good two-tooth ewes sold to 20s 6d, good four, six, and eight-tooth half-bred ewes 16s 6d to 20s 6d, medium 12s 0d to 15s 6d, full and failing mouth halfbreds 8s 6d to Us 9d, good crossbred four, six, and eight-tooth ewes 19s 9d to 24s lid; others 13s 6d to 16s 6d.

Pigs. There was a medium yarding of pork and bacon. Prices were easier. Choppers sold £3 to £6 18s Gel, porkers 39s 6d to 50s, heavy 51s to £3 3s, average 7id per lb. Bacon sold £3 7s 6d to £4, heavy to £4 14s Gel; average 6-ld per lb-
