APIA, June 3. Tin* King's Birthday official ceremony was at ten to-day. The Administrator met forty chiefs in the Council Chamber. Three other were present, Messrs Lux - ford, Turnbull, and Lewis. The Administrator made appropriate remarks. In reply Chief Tutngaloa expressed pleasure at the recovery of lie King. He said all appreciated what Great Britain had done in the country. He hoped British rule and New Zealand control would continue all the time. A Kava ceremony followed, and then three cheers each for file King and the Administrator, The Administration presented Royal Humane Society New Zealand Medals to three Niueans, Lenipoe, Lanifole, Faletule. and Tokelaunn Paeata, awarded '■< • mvery in saving life at the wreck ■>f the Norwich City at Gardner Ts'aml on November 1,3 and December I last.
