Richard Brophy, formerly second in command of Byrd Expedition, staged a lake suicide at Coney Island last August, with the object of getting out of sight. He sueecdcd until an editor from Omaha who had been looking over the Byrd Expedition pictures last week rccognsied a man working on his staff as Brophy. „ Upon the discovery, Brophy agreed to return to his sick wife in New York, but overnight lie again disappeared. It was alleged his friendship with a Broadway actress caused complications with Bvrd and led to his dismissal in Dunedin. WHEAT KING. WASHINGTON, Dec. 3. A Chicago message states Joseph B.
