CRICKET

A meeting of delegates from the Southern Cricket Sub-Union was held at Hokitika on Monday. Mr C. j. King presided. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

It was resolved to affiliate with the. West Coast Cricket Association. It was decided to accept a representative team from Grey mouth, to play a representative team from the Southern Sub-Union on December 8.

C. J. King was re-elected Secretary for the Southern Sub-Union.

Considerable discussion ensude regarding points to be allotted for games played in the competition. It was finally decided to allot points as follows:

3 points, win by an innings. 2 points, win on either Ist or completed 2nd innings. 1 point each for draw.

2 points for forfeit. Hokitika, Kanieri, Rimu and Ruatapu nominated one senior team each in the competitions. ' The winner of the competition tc play the Northern senior competition winners, locality to be decided on later on in the season. it was decided to appoint Mr T<.
