HOKITIKA Y. GRFYMOUTir. A. team of players representing the Greymouth Golf Club yesterday visited Hokitika and played a match at Mahinapna Links with the Hokitika Club. The visitors were the winners by lb games to 11. Following are the details (the names of the Hokitika players being given first) :
Ladies matches: Mrs Xeville heat Airs Hannan 4 and 3. Mrs Burns lost to Mrs Seddon 8 and (>, Mrs Cooke heat Mrs Brown 3 and 1. Mrs Baker lost to (Miss Coates 3 and 2. Mrs Cox lost to Mrs Thorpy one up, Mrs Baird lost to Aliss Reynolds -J and 3. Mrs Butler lost to Mrs Fogarty 2 and 1. Mrs Williams beat Miss Berry 2 and 1.
Men’s matches: Chesney lost to (McCarthy 3 and 7, Steel lost to Meidrum 4 and 3. Xeville beat McKechnie 3 up, Wilson beat Seddon 3 and 1. Cagney beat Brown 0 and b. Williams lost to James I and 2. Finert-y lost to Pratt 2 and 1, Cooke lost to Olnc.v 1 up. Kortegast lost to Thorpy 1 up. Maefarlane lost to Smytho -1 and 2, Baker beat Casey I and 3. A men’s foursome resulted in each side scoring four.
