hundred and arc continuing to rise as reports drift in over telegraph wires that are crippled by unseasonably cold weather. The majority of these fatalities are traceable to cold waves that are sweeping the country and causing street, train and other accidents. Numerous lives were lost in shipping and in mines.

Canada will lie represented at the Naval Conference according to an announcement by Premier King. The representative lias not been named.
