FLORIDA HURRICANE

NEW YORK, October 1
A • message from Pensacola states that the centre of the tropical hurricane has passed there, leaving communications disrunted while the lighting system lias failed. There are approximately one hundred refugees under the care of the police. The Weather Bureau stated that the districts east of the city would lie the most damaged, but no reports (from them are available. Terrific winds have caused damage of approximately one million dollars throughout Florida.
